90' 200 alternator flaky update

Didn't see the thread before, but did you check the voltage regulator? 
Doesn't sound like the field or exciter wire from the symptoms.  There
have been some good threads on this in the past, if you can find them
they're in the archives somewhere.  Finding anything is a very hit or
miss though.
