On can buy that faberic seprately from most any speed shop and cut/wrap
it yourself.

Any performance parts shop (performance improvements, karbelt,
etc.) Will have a DEI brand starter wrap. It wraps the whole
starter, doing the same job. Relatively cheap if I remember
correctly.

I hope you moved the silver to the new starter. It's a heat shield to
prevent
teh turbo from melting the solenoid. THe heat shield isn't supplied
with teh
starter, as on NA motors, it's not required.
