Seafoam or similar product through the intake tract via the brake booster or
other intake line would help id bet. Usually you'd do it in the fuel but as
mentioned, Direct Injection is the cause of the problem. This isn't the
only car with this problem, but the mazda DI cars don't seem to deal with
this, oddly.
