MFTS frequent failure

I second Cody's "check what function broke" and cut the wire.  I've had several sensors fails on Type 44 that way,
the gauge continues to function 100K mi on and the AC is quite happy to operate without the overheat component.

It's main function is to run the temp gauge on the dashboard. If you are having it constantly disable A/C you could just disconnect that one wire from it, but be sure the engine is cooling properly first.
