Brake drag

Is the caliper a floating type? I.e. single piston, and the caliper sliding laterally on pins?
If that is the case make sure that the caliper moves freely on the pins, and the brake pads also can move freely laterally between the faces of the caliper carrier. If the pads can not move away freely from the rotor then you end up with brake drag. On some of my cars I need to free up that on a yearly basis. The best car (never had to do that) is my '88 Jetta, it has stainless steel sliding pins and there is teflon lining in the caliper hole that is sliding on it.
Good luck, Peter
