Stalling 2004 AllRoad in Pine, CO

It does indeed sound like a cat as far as the rattling sound goes.  Can't
leave it up to most people to differentiate engine/exhaust/transmission
noises of failed components because they don't see them often.  Best bet for
checking is a rubber mallet and tapping the cats to see if they rattle or
have small chunks bonking around inside.  It could also just be the heat
sheilds coming undone and rattling and thus be unrelated to the shutdown
issue.

Checking the fuel filter as well is a good idea.
