hey John,
Thanks for the reply! Hope all has been well in SLO.
The exciter circuit eh.. where would one find this? The bulb on the dash comes on as it should but does not remain on once the car has started (I know I used to have to blip the throttle to get the light to turn off). This is the first tip on the excitement circuit I have gotten..

Look at the grounds, look at the exciter circuit, making sure you
have good clean connections and a good bulb. The light should be on
when the key is on and the engine not running, and extinguish when
you've once gone over 1500 RPM. I'm sure you know that, but it
needs to be verified. John
