NAC - Draining Battery

I've always used the positive. I can't really see much of a difference.
If there is a draw I use the pull one fuse at a time method until the
draw is gone.

Gents,
Trying to test for batt. drain myself and finding opposing views:
Some say to test with the neg. cable disconnected, some with positive.
What's the proper procedure?
If all checks OK, is the battery bad and how to tell?
