Water ingress type 85 CGT

Hi Gang, 

 

  My old garage queen 87CGT actually had to earn its keep over the last
month, which it did pretty well after laying up for 2 years. However when
left out in the rain the little cubby hole in the lower dash filled with
water, The screen seal appears fine, and none of the usual rust in that
area, so I just wondered what the cause might be?

 

Possibly sun roof drains? Or something in the bulkhead/firewall area? Any
BTDT?
