You actually can get a garrett bb turbo rebuilt. Its just not endorsed by
garrett, as they want to sell you a whole chra. We have a miata running a
rebuilt 2560 (after 70k mi of use) and its on its 20000th mile now. There
is a small shop in midcal who does it, former garrett employee that went
indy.
