2001 Audi S8 Purchase advice needed

they are a very nice car. a s8 was in my possession about 2 years, but it wasn't a high mileage example. i would echo the comment about the transmission service. other than that i have nothing more to add. they are a beautifully build car, far far better than the comparable a6 (which is basiclly just a growled up a4).
the 2001 did not have the sport mode on the box either. i believe that this was a 2003 feature.
paul waterloo put together a very good website based on his experience with his s8. it's probably still in cyber space. somewhere.
