Hmm but I wonder what the mpg diff us? 2-4 mpg I'd guess..? not a big gap for 80hp...

No they aren't. That 3.2 DI is 255 hp, a very nice motor for a "normal"
family car. Torquey, smooth and rev-happy, very good match with the 6-speed.
This is not the C4 or C5 V6 dogs...

That very car (06-up A6 Avant) is on my wishlist for over a year now, just
can't find one nearby enough to buy. Still looking.
