This is what people want, they like the look. That is the main reason car
makers are putting bigger tires and wheels on, just like the demise of the
true manual. It's market driven. Otherwise, why would a manufacturer put
30lb 20" wheels on a car??

And, yes, the B7 A4 came with 245/45 17's standard, IIRC. The 03 RS6 had
275's, I seem to recall(haven't had one in here in a while).

I run 195/60-14's on my 4000Q, and 155/80-13's on the Jetta. I do have some
245/50-16's for the track car, though.
