sanity check ...

Since I was just looking at these specs earlier today...from audiworld's
model guide which has official-looking specs PDFs

06 A4 2.0T Avant size: standard 235/55-16, optional 235/45-17 (my 2005.5 car
has these), s-line 235/40-18
3.2 sedan has the same 17s standard with 18s for s-line - almost but not
quite 245/45-17...

Bigger wheels to go over bigger brakes (I tried to fit some B5 16s for
winter wheels and they hit the caliper but that's spoke shaping really) that
you need to stop the bigger car with more safety/comfort features, it's a
vicious cycle.

Henry
current 05 A4 avant 2.0T with Sport Edition F7 16" winter wheels & studded
Hak 5 - cold enough but no snow yet
previous 91 200q20v UFOs and 15" & 88 GTI 16v with 14s
