Audi A3 quattro, final drive #?

Hey all,

Question on this funny thing I came across on Audiworld, the bane of
misinformation, usually...

I was digging around on various A3 versions, and saw they list two
different final drive ratios for the quattro DSG, but also the FWD Manual
or DSG.  For a minute, I thought maybe there was a two ratio transfer case
at work, but in FWD manual, I don't get that at all.   So, I was curious if
anyone knows anything about this, or if something was lost in translation.

but it applies to the 2010 as well in their model guide.

other sources are saying 3.10 for the TDI and Gasser alike, just curious
whats going on here.

Not trying to put together a TDI quattro manual, or anything.  Promise.
