Audi A3 quattro, final drive #?

I'd guess it is like all VAG's transverse 6 speeds since the 90's. The transmission has 3 shafts, one input and two output. Fifth and sixth gear, plus reverse, are on the second output shaft. They are actually shorter ratios than 3rd and 4th, but use a taller final drive pinion gear to make them longer ratios.
