Ps. Again just for my specific case (and the other local shops), my choices are:
1) WorldPac that has 90% of what I need in normal service parts to me same day.
2) Dealership that has about a 25% success rate on things I need being in stock, otherwise I have to pay for overnight shipping and like you said leave a car sitting.
3) non-local sources.
There's a local Euro parts house called Viking Imports. If I want ANYTHING for a Beetle or MkI - MkIII golf or an E30 they have it on the shelf and it costs peanuts. The last time there was a MkI in this shop was 1985. I need parts for the 2009 S4, the 2011 S65 AMG, the 2010 S5, and the 2011 M3 that are in my shop and "the little guy" can't afford to stock them.
