These aren't cheap ($200 for a '92 Eurovan). I'd check carefully and clean
the harness and the mf sensor first - saw 1 full of engine oil dripping
from a valve cover gasket most likely. Maybe replace the O-ring on the
sensor. DK how many of those sensors would be in junkyards and fit on A8.
