throttle cable

The switch is for full-throttle kickdown, not something you get in a manual
tranny. Sounds like the cable on my V8. The assembly is held in place from
the inside... the sides of the square part there flip out and hold it
against the wall. I used some large channel locks to squeeze it and wiggle
it loose toward the engine compartment. There's a connector for the switch
wires under the carpet. Wasn't too bad a job to get out. I did have the
knee bolster and the air duct out too.

Subject: throttle cable

Hi. I'm struggling with broken throttle cable on my A100 2.3 NF 4spd auto.
Any BTDT on this? I have a few problems:

1. Removal: the cable boot is stuck on the firewall. From inside it has a
small switch (?) with 2 wires, no screws or holders. From outside, it has a
big rubber boot, about an inch in diameter, which doesn't come off either.

2. Is it unobtainium? Family album lists a unique part code just for this
4spd automatic, it's not used anywhere else. And I know these 4 speeds are
rare. Actually I don't understand why there should be any difference between
manual and auto, throttle body sits in the same place anyway, and there are
no tricky linkages betweeen the pedal and throttle.
