Most of my customers get 41-42 average out of the 95-97 Passats, 50+ out of
the MK3 Jettas, near 50 out of NB's, and 45 out of MK4's. On the cold start
issues. absolutly, but nothing like the older IDI's.

You are dead on though, with the cost desirability. At least they have
metal water flanges.
