Charcoal Canister Delete?

You see them all of the time... I think all VWs are pzev..... At least my wife's 2009 2.5 SE is... And there is no indication of it (such as emblem, etc.).  I suspect the replacement, a 2012 GLi (on order) will also be pzev.
