> Well, today my 1990 V8 reached a milestone: 100000 miles.
Your troubles with Baby didn't sour you on Audis? My '87 4kq is
approaching 239k.
------------------------------
Just turned 150,000 miles on the wife's 2001 A8L, got it about 4 years
ago with 80,000 miles. Mostly trouble free. Just had to put new tires on
it and had to replace the tie rod ends to get it lined up. Getting ready
to do a TB job on it this spring.
My 1997 A8 started having trans problems around 160,000 miles and died
at 175,000 about 4 years ago...See the link? Got a totaled '97 A8 last
year with a Tozo trans last year, just need to do the switch.
I got over 200K miles out of all my 5KTQs (5 of em) before the intake
system started leaking and causing starting/running problems.
I've got 235,000+ miles on my '93 Subie Legacy 4WD Wagon and still
flogging it 2-3 days a week too. Only paid $2 for it 3 years ago, just
needed a new radiator. At a quarter million miles I told my cousin he
could paint it camo. Just rub vaseline on the places you don't want the
paint to stick!
Then I have a '93 Grand Cherokee with about 215,000 miles (5.2 V8). Got
to have something to pull the '93 Ski Nautique to the lake that has
about 1400 hours on it (351 with winsor heads and a 650cfm holley 4bbl).
Then there is my '93 Ninja 600 (2nd owner). I guess I got a '93 theme
going on. I even have a '93 S-10 4.3L V6 (dad bought it for $500) that I
keep around the property, the wife likes to drive it for some reason.
Miles, Miles, Miles. Who has the most miles on the cars they own???
I mean, you can own a lot of cars, but if they don't have a lot of
miles...What's the point?
