Cam question???

Yeah,

I have a 20v head with cams that are very similar. Varnish on the
cam...especially on the backside of the lobe. I figure it relates to the
followers not having enough contact pressure to wipe away the old oil.

On a similar note irecall that Audi has (had?) A proprietary process for
surface hardening the cam lobs that many manufacturers envy.......
