S6 Avant on the track - a few questions

DOug - thanks for the input.
Many people have commented on hauling down a lot of mass - heat, heat, heat.
What happened? I'll ask anyway.
Note: i have a 2002 (c5) S6, not a C4. Still a big heavy nose-heavy car.
