Brand of Gasoline

If your engine has a knock sensor that may just be a function of the
advanced timing. The knock sensor retards the timing when pre-ignition is
detected. That's why higher octane results in more power and better mileage.

Subject: Brand of Gasoline

I have been using Chevron gas almost exclusively for years.
The station's card reader didn't work in Cottonwood, so I went down the
street
to the Union 76, the gas was about 50 cents a gallon more but
lasted way longer.

Normally when I drive from Sedona to Phx I must get
gasoline somewhere before returning home.

This time I drove from Sedona to PHX and back on
ONE HALF TANK OF GASOLINE. I went on Thurs.
and didn't buy gas again til Sunday nite.

How can this be?

Fay
