BTW, VAG-COM will not point to a no-crank issue. That gets down to basic
electronics, using schematics.

Are you pushing the clutch in? That is required on the newer ones as well,
unlike your V8Q.

Hopefully you are getting it inexpensively since it's been sitting. Those
cars are not inexpensive to maintain. They are a lot of fun, and very good
cars overall (engine's are quite overbuilt). But, like the V8 in it's time,
the 2.7T's are higher maint.
