Just to clarify, we didn't use a battery pack. We connected booster cables,
running the supply car to about 3000 rpm; a faint clicking of a relay
somewhere was all we got. The clutch pedal was forcefully in, BTW :)

Another thing that puzzles me is a code given by the central locking module:
01366 - Opened Due to Crash Signal
            35-00 - -
Would it be an indication of a previous accident, or a code thrown once
voltage dropped below a certain minimum? The same controller also showed 10
other codes:
01371 - Alarm triggered by Door Contact Switch; Driver's Side
            35-00 - -
01572 - Alarm triggered by Door Contact Switch; Passenger Side
            35-00 - -
01374 - Alarm triggered by Terminal 15
            35-00 - -
01370 - Alarm triggered by Interior Monitoring
            35-00 - -
01368 - Alarm triggered by Luggage Compartment Switch
            35-00 - -
00668 - Supply Voltage Terminal 30
            07-00 - Signal too Low
00955 - Key 1
            09-10 - Adaptation Limit Surpassed - Intermittent
01559 - Drivers Door
            58-10 - Can't Lock - Intermittent
01574 - Alarm triggered by Door Contact Switch; Right Rear
            35-00 - -
01573 - Alarm triggered by Door Contact Switch; Left Rear
            35-00 - -

On the positive side, no codes from ABS, airbag control or instrument
modules. I'm inclined to think if we can get it cheap, it's worth it, but
too much unknown to pay good money for.
Thanks!

Radek.
