Yep the 5000TQ tranny fit there but the dif ratio is 3.89, 1000Q is 4.11.

Uuse the 5000 tranny with its rear diff to fit the front diff ratio.

I used the intended acceleration tricks to know thw ratio. Simple.

With no engine swap i ll get a turbo mc1 enine sit on the garage,,, ;-)

The question i ask to myself.... do i need power on a winter car (my quattr=
o) and the wires to fit is nothing vs the power i would get from the turbo=
. the 100<Q have 185 000km, 5000TQ has 216 000, but the 100 look new engine=
, the 5000 look like it s been in a juck yeard for 2 years,,, lots of rust=
ion the engine,, look bad,, but run good ;-).

I think,,,,, for the time ii have to do fit,,,, i ll first get the tranny=
and rear diff, and all suspension swap..... second next summer,,,, with =
some help... i ll engine swap.

HaHa i just got an idea :-0. Just put my other FWD 5000T tranny on the 100Q=
 and sell it.... then buy a 90Q and pu 5000Tq on it :-)......... it s a sto=
ry with no end hehe,,,, so i would run on a 90TQ with everything from 5000=
TQ,, with larger fenders ;-). CV shaft r longer on the 5000 or 200 than th=
e 90.
My friend at the VW-Audi garage is looking for the shorter CV shaft that fi=
t the 5000TQ hubs and short as the 90. My theorie is,,, 1000Q (4 lugs hubs =
with ouside and inner CV joints same as 90) is large as 5000 or 2000 CV sha=
ft.So its easy to swap the suspension between 100 and 5000(but lost 5 lugs=
from 5000). If Audi make long shaft (100Q) and short shaft (90) for 4 lugs=
hubs,,, MAYBE they make short shaft for 5 lugs.
Is incredible what fit from VW-Audi-Porshe.... often the part number is not=
the same but it fit and goes there ;-). Last month a guy come in his garag=
e with a 911 Porshe, the CV joint was not avalable for several days,,,, but=
in stuck a CV joint,, hmmm from Audi fitted in there ... so the guy could =
return home , far away with a good CV joint.

And yesterday i remove the 100Q tranny. pretty bad shap. there is a 1 inch =
hole on the last section of the tranny.!!!! anyway its over one. The 5000TQ=
has a rusted dry bearing somewhere under the car,,, and i dont know where=
the sound comes from. I cant put tranny , diff and driving with that probl=
em, on my 100Q ;-0.

I ll get a friend to sleep under the car at the same time i run it ,,, yer=
k for him ;-). I hope he ll not get the driving on the face,,, oufffffff, =
joke.

I must find the problem this weekend,,,, the time past and the weather is c=
older everyday,, winter is comming.

Denis
sorry for that long Audi owner story ,,, scared story hehhe

if i were you id just swap the tranny.
i dont think the 100q body is worth the pain of the swap.
or fix it and sell it for a 5000tq..
or fit it, sell it for a 4000q and then put the 5000tq engine in :)
but without entering a new car into the equation id keep the stock
  motor in the 100q.
the reason the 90s and 4000s are worth the swap is their trannies
are way shorter gears and way lighter cars... so you get something
shockingly fast... i dont know for sure but i bet the 100q transmission
is about the same as the 5000tq...

do what you want though :)

    Hi luke.
My situation is..... i have a good 100Q with bad tranny and a bad 5000T=
Q with good mecanic. I have two options.

    1) take tranny, diff, driving ,,, from the 5000TQ and put to the 100Q..=
.=2E easy but long job.i keep the 100Q engine, its a 2.3 csi3. So no electr=
onics to fit. So no engine swap.

    2) take all rom 5000TQ to the 100Q. Easier buttttt,, electronic fit to =
do. I dont have very much time to bug on connections.... it ll be my winter=
 car.
does it take long to finish connections ? it the same thing u do,,,, TQ=
on a non turbo car, with MC1 instead of csi3

The easiest option would be ?

    thanks for advise Luke
