'91 100q 5 injectors replaced - now car wont start

I don't like using starting fluid- it is obviously highly explosive, but
there is such a thing as being too volatile. I've had several long time
mechanics recommend gum cutter instead- works just fine in everything I've
tried it on, and not as hazardous.
