I get a truly amazing number of similar responses to anything I put  on CL. 
Most only solicit a response; i.e. "is it still available". I am not sure  
what good a response would do them, I think CL now assigns an anonymous mail 
 address to any response I make.
 
Most memorable one I recall was for a Mercedes 113 convertible top frame.  
It was along the lines of "I am blind and live in New York City, I will send 
my  personal assistant with payment"
 
When I post an "apartment for rent" ad, the responses are truly amazing,  
15-20 scam replies.
