[Audi Owers USA] RE: Brake Pad Wear Warning Light

On the way to the West Toronto Audi fans meeting, my warning light
indicating low level of windshield washer fluid was blinking alternately
with my brake pad wear warning light. On Saturday morning I filled the
larger windshield washer fluid reservoir. Upon driving away the OK light
came on shortly, then no warning light was illuminating.

This whitish brake warning light with the symbol of a brake drum illuminates
where the "OK" light would illuminate, top centre between the left and right
arrow green turn signal indicators.

Hmmm, interesting. I guess it's not one of those lights that comes on when
you start the car. I just checked. There is a

blank space in the top center of the gauge cluster. Just strange that it
would not be in the OM. I guess this time, 'RTFM'
doesn't apply!

Your car should have the same light, all B6's I've worked on do. In fact,
the one in the shop does. It's in the top of hte center display, shows a
yellow circle with yellow "parenthesis" on either side.
