The heater core isn't too bad- the entire heater box comes out from the
engine compartment side. I'd strongly recommend replacing the blower motor
while you're in there, and recommend only using OE parts- I had to do the
job twice inside of 6 months on one of my cars when I went with an
aftermarket core and blower. The core sprung a leak, and the blower wasn't
balanced properly and was incredibly noisy.
