Speedo sporadic

So far the speedo and instrument cluster are back to functioning as designed. Thank you Deluxe Speedometer for the fast and apparently accurate repair.
Now back to the other niggling issues with a 30 year-old car............

I once again tried the usual go-to shop in Denver (Deluxe Speedometer) and had 
better luck this time. They rebuilt it and I picked it up today. Haven't put it 
in the car yet but should happen this weekend. 
Cost was $150, and the chap sounded like he knew what was wrong and how to fix 
it.
I'm optimistic, and will report results.

My speedo came back from Palo Alto Speedometer, and I had it  
installed. I've put ~100 miles on the car since, and so far, so good.
