Trunk cover for 2003 A6 Avant

It seems that the spring has broken on the retractable trunk cover on my 
2003 A6 Avant (medium gray interior).   So, it doesn't stay in place when 
hooking it in at the back of the cargo area since the lack of the spring 
won't keep it taught.

I can't even figure out how to take the thing apart.  And there's no salvage 
yards nearby (I'm in the Dallas, TX area) that I know of.

The Audi part # is 4B9 863 553 G 77J

Checking around the internet, the part costs over $900 and is gratiously 
discounted to aboout $775 on some sites.  To me, that's still ridiculously 
too much... While I'll just deal with it laying loose in the trunk, it would 
be nice to get a replacement (used is fine) and I'm open to colors other 
than the medium/dark gray that the current one is.
