4kq vac assisted door locks

I am trying to diagnose the non working vacuum assisted power door locks.  I have the bentley manual and there isnt much info that I could find on the electrics or testing of the 12v portion of the system.  As it sits now, I have all of the locks working with the key and door plungers.  I have tested the vacuum motor in the trunk and it seems to work fine.  There is a fuse in the fuse panel under the hood, that is fine.  The actuator rod is attached to the vac plunger inside the drivers door, and does go up and down when locking the door with the key.  I have breifly inspected the wires going thru the door seal between the drivers door and body of the car.  I need to inspect that area a bit further though. It seems to be something electronic from my best guess.  Any thoughts or ideas would be great!  TIA
