Type 44 alternator cooling?

For many years, I've been a little curious whether there should be some
sort of cooling ducting for the alternator on these cars but I've never
gotten around to asking. When I bought my used 5ktq back in 1990 or so,
there were no alternator cooling provisions other than the front pulley
cooling fan and the rear cover with a hose port oriented toward the front
bumper. No hose and, as far as I could tell, no place near the front bumper
for such a hose to connect. Missing parts?
Yet in the ETKA, I do see a short duct hose and a hose clamp with which to
secure it to the alternator's rear cover cooling port as well as some sort
of fitting on the forward end which looks like it should plug into
something. My alternator could probably use some additional cooling,
especially since I have modified the regulator arrangement to an external
unit set for a bit higher output voltage than stock.
Is anyone aware of some sort of air collector box or baffle for these cars
which supplies air to an alternator cooling duct hose?
Curious in Boulder, CO.
