Resistor for two speed fan on 87 4000 Q

Well it looks like I am getting the cooling system up to par on this 87 4000 Quattro. Part of that process is getting the cooling fan working right.  As it has been brought to my attention that the reason my cooling fan may only operate in high speed because of the resistor, does anyone know where the resistor is and what it looks like?
