Resistor for two speed fan on 87 4000 Q

I'm assuming you have a new or tested sender in the bottom of the
radiator and that the wiring checks out (jump the connector to run both
fan speeds...).

If it's anything like the 90Q - I haven't seen a "raw" 4kq in decades -
it will be attached with a bolt to one of the "legs" of the radiator fan
support. One heavy wire attached to each end.

Might want to check you manual first, it should be in the schematics and
also a drawing in the cooling system section.

As it has been brought to my attention that the reason my cooling fan may only operate in high speed because of the resistor, does anyone know where the resistor is and what it looks like?
