A4 Speedo Died

Yesterday I finished buttoning up our 1998  A4 5V V6 after several
weeks of wrestling to replace the heater hoses and fix some valve
cover and cam cap leaks.

Took time to replace all the vacuum hoses and everything is humming
nicely even though the ol gal has 198K.  The "thank you" I get from
the Audi gods......watching the speedo needle slowly  settle to zero
as I did a ten mile run to make sure all systems were go.

Any BTDT out there?
