'91 coupe quattro control arms

I have a '91 coupe quattro. I've been driving around with worn control arm bushings for about a 1000 miles. A new control arm is pricing at about $500 per side.

What're the thoughts on just replacing the bushings? How difficult are they to press on to the control arm?

Does anyone have a source for a better price on control arms for this car?
