I have never understood SUV's, thinking of them as trucks. A few years ago  
a soccer mom explained it to me. I keep a low cost minivan, with no seats,  
around for hauling. A few years back I was in for an oil change. I had a 
'89  Dodge minivan, with the turbo. I had installed the factory kit ($1200, 
actually  since the kit was announced in the 80's, and the parts were used on 
later Dodge  Daytonas, I scavenged the parts) to bump it to 300hp. A woman 
waiting with me  mentioned that she had previously had a minivan. But, she 
had "moved up" to an  SUV. That explained it all.
