[V8] ignition lock

Agreed, Eric.  Remove the instrument cluster and the ignition switch is 
right there just below the innards to the right of the column.  Scratch 
away the red locktite, loosen but don't remove the set screw revealed by 
getting the locktite out,  The electrical portion of the switch will 
come out pretty easily. Don't get too excited or a blood sacrifice to 
the Audi gods may be required.  (Sharp metal edges in there.)

At least that's how it's done for my 95.5 urS6.
