No, you cant get there by removing the seat back. There's a metal panel behind the seat.

Hello everyone,
It's been a very long time since I asked a question here and I hope someone
remembers how to do this:
I have an old heap of a 1987 5000CSTQ, that I'm finally sending off to the
scrap yard. There are a few items in the trunk that I need to remove
before hauling it away, and alas, I no longer have the keys and the trunk
is locked. Power locking system no longer works.
Can I get into the trunk by removing the rear seat back? I know how to get
the bottom off, and that's done, but I have no clue about how to remove the
rear seat back. Can I yank the lock mechanism out somehow? I'm not
particularly interested in preserving the cosmetics or trunklid at this
point, I just need to get in there.
Any help, long term memories and/or reminiscences will be greatly
appreciated.
Thanks,
Alex
