Hello to all...

Well, sometime last week I went to release the emergency brake on my '94 Au=
di S4, and guess what, brake went off, but light stayed on. Shook the e-br=
ake a bit. Engaged then dissengaged it... still light remains on, and has =
been on since then!

All the fluids looked fine, but I topped up both the Pentosin (which I drai=
ned, cleaned the reservoir, and added fresh Pentosin to not long ago), and =
also the brake fluid with a little Castron GT-LMA. Still, the light remain=
s on.

E-brake and all brake functions seem to be working fine. In the manual it =
says it could also be due to too low hydraulic pressure in the brake system=
.=2E. the Pentosin fluid looks good now and I get many stops when I kill t=
he engine before pedal goes stiff, so I don't think it's the bomb.

So, I am thinking it is either a fluid sensor or, as someone noted to me, m=
y e-brake switch is broken and "stuck" on.

Any ideas... anyone else had this happen in thier S-cars? How much is a n=
ew switch, if that is in fact what you think that is.

Thanks,
Dan
