In reply to one of your questions, the reason there is only one
connection for each speaker in the plug is because Audi/Bose used
a common ground setup for the speakers, unlike most "standard"
car audio setups.

I don't see how you can tap into the system, but it would be
interesting to hear what you end up doing.

I've wanted to install this trick little Mac iPod unit into both my
quattros. Since I've installed a //S4 Gamma head unit into my urquattro
I want to do it even more. Here is the image of the back of my //S4 head
unit that's in my urquattro.

I have also listed some of the connections. At the time I marked up the
image I had not yet installed the radio and some of the connection
labels are mixed up. But, for the most part the labels are correct.
