Jeff,
I concur with your observation
On my Ipod, I used the Ipod maximum 192kbps rate at the expense of
memory. When I use the Ipod in quieter environment I notice the
difference between 192, 128 or 64 kbps but in the noisier car
environment it would be less noticeable.
