[s-cars] Elverum: The Audi Northern Paradise

Hi,

A few words before a long article (with video and pictures) regarding the
scandinavian audi meeting which took place last week end.
It tooks us 19 hours of non stop driving to go from Paris to Elverum. We met
Joern on the way and finished the trip together. The meeting started
saturday with track sessions for the whole day. The track and the location
are very beautifull. Well, I saw more special Audi cars at this place than
anywhere else. S2, S4, TT, RS2, RS4. All of them had a 400, 500 or 600 HP
version !!!! Their owners were always available to answer any questions
about their cars. Met and talked to Hans Dalhback a couple of times. Talked
to Audi Fans who were impressed about our trip to be there. Very nice
people, very passionate as well. On Sunday morinng, an Audi Sport Quattro S1
was there. I had the opportunity to have a 10 minutes ride on the open road
in the forest. Absolutely impossible to describe the violence of the beast.
Except I could not breath when the turbo was kicking !!!! This is beyond
belief. I could hold the camcorder properly with both hands. The owner is as
nice as his machine is powerfull. I can not thank him enough for the
experience. Even after, I could not realize what happened to me.

We went back on the track early afternoon with the S6 Plus to show them the
french driving style (Adrian can describe very well !!!!) and then we went
back home to France.

Joern was a perfect host and took very well care of us. He even choose a
restaurant on friday night where the waitress was very cute . We will come
back with more cars next year. Everybody who has the opportunity should go.
It is worth the trip.
