Its actually quite overkill, most factory Garrett applications use -4 at the most, the stock KKK oil line is approx. -6, but the KKK turbos have a restrictor in the top of the oil inlet.

The oil drain line is not really under pressure, and the last thing you want is oil pressurizing in the outlet and blocking the oil flow through the center section.  -10 is about 3/4", and so is (approx) the stock Audi oil outlet hose, so its not very big at all.
