S-03s are very porky- 28lbs. for a tire in 255/40R17 is too much IMHO.

The Yokohama ES100 is interesting- very inexpensive and looks like "son of AVS
Sport". Depending on how they wear and if they make a ton of noise, that could
be a very good tire for a low price- the AVS Sport are excellent, IMHO, except
for the fact that they make horribly loud noise once worn- like BFG M/T truck
tires. That may also be due to the fact that my particular AVS were worn
unevenly due to a toe issue. They were quiet for 20k miles.
