Dave 'BW' Jones ex of Revsport 'told' me he sent my head to an automotive
school in England to have port work development done, i.e. b4 and after.
I have no idea if Dave told me the truth or if he in fact has the #'s but
this is what I am told, take any info given with a grain of sallt and ask to
see the #'s on the university letterhead before you consider it gospel.
Extrude hone is simly a hog it all out type of system and may or may not
have the desired results. i.e. taking material from the roof of an intake
port and getting rid of valve guide obstructions is almost always valuable,
taking anything away from the floor of an exhaust port is almost always bad
short of a max effort in the hands of a master, so when extrude just takes
material from everything?? come to your own conclusions. I have also found
that polishing is almost always an ego exercise. Come to your own
conclusions.
